Jilly got her ears pierced

Image
After asking opinions of everyone I know I finally decided to pierce Jilly's ears. I got very mixed opinions but the common one I received from everyone was if you are going to do it the younger the better. So I did. Actually I hadn't decided until we were walking through Walmart and there was a sign that said "Free ear piercing". We got her birthstone - alexandrite (or pearl). It is a light pink stone so it matches everything. She is soo cute!!!!! (I know that I am a bit biased)

She has a deformed ear. We call it her "plug ear" because it looks like an outlet. Apparently, this is an Evans trait (that is Greg's mom's family). I think it is very endearing. (again, I am biased)

She is sooo dang cute - I can't stand it!!!

200 Things You Have and Have Not

I read this on my sis-in-law's blog and thought I would do my own. Thanks Leslie!

200 Things

A way to journal some things you have done or not done in your life. All you have to do is copy the list and bold what you have done. (Select the list, CTRL-C copies it, CTRL-V pastes it into your blog, select the list and CTRL-B bolds everything, then do CTRL-B again and everything will be un-bolded and ready for you to play.) I added my own info in parentheses. Feel free to delete those on your own list.

She is Smiling!!!

Image
Jilly has started smiling. It is soo cute!! Auntie Kathy got the first smile. I am soo anxious get home. I fly home on Friday and it seems too far away!!

Also, thank you for all your prayers. We were notified last week that the boys got into Benjamin Franklin Charter School on Crismon. They had been on the waiting list and I heard stories about people who have been waiting for a couple of years. I was trying to figure out how we were going to manage to continue to drive into Mesa everyday with the price of gas continuing to rise. The Lord knows our concerns and answers prayers. I love Him for that, and for looking out for me and my family.

I have truly been blessed by those around me. Thank you so much for all of you who gave condolences about my father passing. I am truly blessed to be loved by so many. This past month has been one of the hardest I have ever had to face - and it was even harder with the fact that I was away from my family in the midst of it. I burst into tear…

Dad's Camera equipment

As I have told some of you, my father was an avid photographer. In his younger years he would make a living by taking pictures, in his later years he was an avid collector of photography equipment. I have attached the list of the items we are selling. Let anyone know who is interested - I can ship anywhere. :-)

*** New list has been posted here ***

As hope dwindles....

I am home alone while Jen is in Minnesota...
It is not fun. I miss her tremendously. I miss the baby. It is almost surreal knowing that I am a new father and haven't even been around the baby that long.

I am sometimes motivated to do a lot of things while they are gone.... but that motivation dwindles throughout the day as I get anxious for her return. *sigh*

You'd think we were used to this by now, with all the 'apart from each other' nonsense we have experienced in the past.
