Please?!!

IT WOULD BE REALLY NICE IF EVERYONE ON MY BLOGROLL COULD ADD ME TO THEIR "MEMBERSHIP" LISTS! It's kinda frustrating to go through my blogroll and I can't even go to have of the sites on my list. My email address is gwoolf at (take your pick of either gmail or hotmail).

Danny is funny.

Yesterday was Daniel's birthday. I realize this isn't big news, but when we went to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate his birthday, we stopped at the Walmart on the way. Grandma let Danny pick out a toy while we were there. While Danny and I walked into the toy section, I noticed he was doing the 'potty dance' so I asked him if he needed to go.. He said NO. So I said, "Alright, but I'm going to be in here for a few mins..." and then I walked into the bathroom. He followed. When we both returned to the Toy section, Danny said, "Oh boy, where did Grandma run off to? She's got quick legs". I had to snicker... he always says the funniest things. I figured I would write some of these down while I remember them... Which reminds me, one time he was in the car driving down the road with his Aunt Kathy and started singing some made-up lyric about how the church they had passed was not a 'christian church'... (It's funny when Kathy tells th...

My Danny is 6!!

My baby is 6!! I keep saying this and yet it doesn't seem very real. I am not sure where the time has gone. Yet SOOO much has changed since this time six years ago. Danny has always been a HUGE blessing in my life. He is the child that is most like me (I guess the one my mother wished on me many years ago). I just hope that as he grows his decision making abilities will be better than his mothers! Danny proved from the very beginning that he wanted things his way. He turned transverse right before I was supposed to give birth and then when we were at the hospital for the C-Section he turned again and so I had him naturally. That was my first clue that he was going to potentially be a tad bit difficult. Not difficult really......just challenging. ;-) I was given a blessing before he was born that said that he and I would have a very strong and special bond. I am sure that is because I understand him. The way he thinks just seems to make sense to me. I told him this morning that I wa...

Jilly's blessing

Image
September 7, 2008 I know I am a bit behind but I figured better late than never. I can't express my feelings very well when I think of how blessed I truly am. I am so thankful to be married to a man who honors his priesthood and was able to bless our daughter. Hunter was never blessed and Danny was blessed by his Uncle Doug. I have been lucky to always have honorable priesthood holders in my life but it isn't the same as having it available in my own home. I am so grateful for that! After a crazy morning...REALLY crazy. We didn't get any pictures of the kids or us or anything before church while everyone was dressed up. We finally arrived at church for Jilly's blessing. We filled 3 large pews with family and more with friends. We are truly blessed!!! She did not like being laid down for the blessing. She cried the whole time...well, until Greg sat her up to show her off and then she was all smiles. What a stinker!! :-) My good friend Emily McCain made her dress out of m...

I enjoy being a girl!

Image
I just love having a girl!! It is so much fun! I have been making jewelry lately and have made a bunch of bracelets for Jilly. I think I may be going into business selling some of them....we will see if I can get that to pan out. But Jilly has been wearing the cutest shoes! I had to take some pictures...so here they are! I have to say...I have good looking kids!

CRAZY, crazy, CRAZY!!

.: (You really should read this first!) :. My world has been in an uproar for the last week! My mom was in the hospital and just returned home last night. It is amazing how different your perspective is after you have lost a parent. Both my sister and I were horribly afraid something would go terribly wrong and we would have lost both parents in a matter of months. This was not something I think I could have survived. I am glad to know that the Lord didn't think I needed that particular challenge at this time in my life. I missed my Thankful Thursday - but don't think it was because I am not thankful. I will give you my top ten list now (in no particular order): 1. Modern Technology and Medicine 2. BUNCO!!! 3. Creativity - Thanks Mom Woolf for showing me how to make jewerly 4. Nap time 5. My sister - I am so greatful for the friendship we finally have. 6. Good friends 7. Dancing Queen 8. My calling as Webelos leader (crazy i know.....but it's fun!!) 9. Jilly - she is t...

It be once again time t' talk like a pirate.

Avast! One o' me favorite days be here. It's Talk Like a Pirate Day! I think I may have t' stop talkin' like a scurvy dog for me conference call with the landlubbers and scallywags at work today. That might turn out t' be a bit awkward. After the conversatin' I'd best smartly get back to my regular pirate banter. Arrr! I need t' be better versed in me pirate talk so I think it be good practice t' run me words through a translator. Arrr! How many o' you be goin' t' talk like a pirate today? This should be a fun and eventful day! Arrr! (Courtesy of Talklikeapirate.com ) Top Ten Pickup lines for use on International Talk Like a Pirate Day 10 . Avast, me proud beauty! Wanna know why my Roger is so Jolly? 9. Have ya ever met a man with a real yardarm? 8. Come on up and see me urchins. 7. Yes, that is a hornpipe in my pocket and I am happy to see you. 6. She talks!

.: (You really should read this first!) :. Jilly is 3 months old today. Already her being a newborn seems quite distant. Crazy, I know! I decided that I want to go through the pictures of Jilly's blessing and play a bit with photoshop before posting them. But in the mean time, she has been talking up a storm. Yesterday she started giggling. Not enough to get on camera - but enough to keep me laughing!

Thankful Thursday

It is very sad when my blog just becomes Thankful Thursday and nothing in between. But this week has been crazy!!! I have rearranged the bedrooms (I am not sure the girls will be happy...but...) I haven't finished Breaking Dawn yet...but getting close. I have pictures and things from Labor Day and will post them later. Since I have to run to make dinner I thought I would make a quick post. This week I am most thankful for: 1. Bug spray to kill the baby black widow spider infestation in the garage. 2. The ability to stay home and be MOM - I love you honey for allowing me this privilege. I know it is stressful and crazy at times but I am so grateful! 3. A vacuum that sucks all the dog hair in my carpet and on my furniture. 4. MUSIC! I am amazed how a song can take you places! 5. Good friends - Lunch with the girls at Bajios and also to my peeps: thanks for hanging out today at my house, I had a blast! Let's do it more often!! 6. A strong husband who has been helping me mo...
