Crazy Weekends update

I have gotten a bit behind in my blogging so I thought I would take a quick minute and try and catch up.....

Last weekend (10/25):

The Young Women of our ward had a fund raiser taking family portraits. It was the first time that I could do a pink and blue picture without me being the only one in pink! So we did. I have not received the family pics back yet but once I do I will post them. But I had Greg take some pics of the kids and some with mom.









Immediately following the photo session, the boys played their first soccer game:






This past Friday was Halloween. I previously put up the annual pumpkin patch. YEAH!! The boys decided their costumes early - Hunter was Mutt Williams from Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull and Danny was Superman. Jilly used a costume from my friend Amber - so she was an adorable little lamb. We went to the ward trunk or treat and then came home and hit a few houses on our way to mom's. All in all it was a great time.

Those pics are super cute! I love random family pics, they always turn out great. It was fun to hang out with you guys Saturday nite, we'll have to find another Rock Band soon & rock all nite long! :) I think I could handle the drums...maybe. ;)

Hey wait! I wasn't through! She definitely has Jen's nose (Whew!) And she is absolutely the epitome of photogenic.
Saturday can't come soon enough!

Gerald Shepardson has passed away.

Jennifer is a bit preoccupied with assisting her sister with the formalities of the passing of a loved one, so I hope I don't do any disservice to his memory by writing this blog post. Gerald, Gerry, or Papa Bear as Jennifer lovingly called him, is Jennifer's father. I believe he passed away on June 24th, 2008. He was 80. Grandpa Shepardson was a very talented man, a concert-level pianist and very intelligent. He did a wonderful job of preparing Jennifer to marry me, because he loved music, photography, thrift shopping, "STUFF", dry humor, bad puns, reading, sharing the knowledge of his passions, and sarcasm. I love him and was sad to hear of his passing. I'm not sure if I expressed to Jennifer my admiration for her father, but I certainly hope she knows that I have always felt him to be a kindred spirit from the day I met him face to face. We love you Papa Bear! You will be missed.

Jilly is 4 months old!!

OK I know 4 months isn't really very old...but I am sad that she is growing up at all! I am having so much fun with her! She is happy ALL the time. There is nothing better than being woken up to her talking in her bed in the morning. She doesn't roll much yet - mostly when she is mad. But it's coming. She is VERY strong and it probably won't be long before she is sitting on her own. YEAH!! Isn't she just dang cute!! (I realize I am a bit biased....I say this often don't it) LOL

Her first solid food.....well kind of solid

BEFORE THE FEAST: AFTER THE FEAST: Jilly had her 4 month doctor's appointment today. She weighs in at 13 lbs. 4 oz. (45% of average 4 month olds) and is 25 inches long (80% of average four month olds). She is tall and thin.....not a bad way to be. :-) So after her check up (and the shots - poor thing) the doctor said she was definitely ready for cereal. So we came home and gave it a try. She wrinkled her nose a lot and everything came out at least once before she figured out that she should swallow it. But she was (is) dang cute doing it!! So, now we have a new fixture in the dining room....the high chair. YEAH!!
